Opening and switching apps
Apps say “Open phone to continue,” or the home screen looks compressed
If this happens when you open apps from Lib Launcher, check whether Lib Launcher is also set up in Good Lock's MultiStar. This combination can prevent apps from opening on the cover screen and can shift or compress the Lib Launcher home screen.
Check both of these settings:
- Open Good Lock → MultiStar → I ♡ Galaxy Foldable → Launcher Widget. If Lib Launcher is selected, deselect it.
- Open Settings → Cover screen → Widgets. If the Good Lock Launcher widget is on your cover screen, remove it.
Either setting can cause the problem on its own. Lib Launcher does not need to be added to MultiStar to work on the cover screen. Reinstalling Lib Launcher may not help because these settings are stored outside the app.
If you only see “Open phone to continue” when opening Recent apps, see the next section instead.
Recent apps will not open on the cover screen
Open Lib Launcher on your phone's main screen, then go to Experimental features → Use the built-in recent apps screen and turn it on. This shows Lib Launcher's recent apps screen in place of Samsung's screen. This is a workaround for the recent apps screen only. The built-in screen cannot close apps, and this setting will not fix ordinary apps that refuse to open.
Buttons and typing
The floating button disappears
In Lib Launcher, open Experimental features → Keep the button ready while locked. This can help when the floating button disappears and does not return. With this setting on, the button can also appear on the lock screen.
The floating button or Slide Panel interferes with typing
In Lib Launcher, open Experimental features → Keep clear of the keyboard. While a keyboard is open, Lib Launcher hides the floating button and Slide Panel bar so they do not cover keys. You cannot use those controls while typing.
Notifications and display
No notifications appear in Lib Launcher
Lib Launcher's notification panel needs Notification access. Grant it when the app asks, or open Lib Launcher's settings and check Notification access. The rest of the launcher works without this optional permission. Lib Launcher's own notification does not appear inside its notification panel.
How do I change the cover screen brightness?
Swipe down from the very top edge of the cover screen to open Samsung's panel, then use its brightness control. Lib Launcher does not have a cover screen brightness slider.
Why does Android say Lib Launcher is displaying over other apps?
Android shows this notification when Lib Launcher has permission to display its floating controls over other apps. Lib Launcher cannot remove or silence the system notification from inside the app.
Diagnostic logs
How do I send a diagnostic log?
If a problem continues, a log can help us investigate:
- Unfold your phone and open Lib Launcher from the main screen's app list.
- Open Diagnostics and turn on Record a log.
- Close the phone and reproduce the problem on the cover screen within five minutes. Recording stops automatically after five minutes.
- Unfold the phone, return to Diagnostics, tap Refresh, then Copy.
- Paste the log into your message to libratech.lab@gmail.com. Include your phone model, One UI version, what you tried to do, and what happened.
